“Where the Esgalduin flowed and parted Neldoreth from Region, there rose in the midst of the forest a rocky hill, and the river ran at its feet. There they made the gates of the hall of Thingol, and they built a bridge of stone over the river, by which alone the gates could be entered. Beyond the gates wide passages ran down to high halls and chambers far below that were hewn in the living stone, so many and so great that the dwelling was named Menegroth, the Thousand Caves.” - J.R.R. Tolkien, The Silmarillion.
I finally made it! I've recreated my old concept art almost entirely in 3D using Blender. I'm aiming to animate the scene, but it’s incredibly time-consuming, especially as I'm still learning Blender. I'm open to collaboration—if any animators out there are interested in bringing this scene to life, let's connect and create something amazing!
